Objectives (الأهداف)
- Lesson aims: to introduce the WOW! Magazine and meet the WOW! team.

Lesson 1 part 1 (الدرس 1 – الجزء 1)
Starting the lesson (بدء الدرس):
- Welcome students to the first lesson. Ask students: What’s important about this lesson? What do they think they need to do?
رحّب بالطلاب في الدرس الأول. اسألهم: ما المهم في هذا الدرس؟ ماذا يعتقدون أنهم بحاجة لفعله؟ - Ask: How are you? What languages do you speak? Write the questions on the board. Pair students to ask and answer.
اسأل: كيف حالك؟ ما اللغات التي تتحدثها؟ اكتب الأسئلة على السبورة. اجعل الطلاب يعملون في أزواج للسؤال والجواب.
Presentation (العرض)
- Explain that in this lesson students will meet the WOW! Team in the Class Book.
اشرح أنه في هذا الدرس سيتعرف الطلاب على فريق WOW! في كتاب الصف. - Have students look at Lesson 1 and scan it. Ask what they think the lesson will be about and what they expect to learn.
اطلب من الطلاب النظر إلى الدرس الأول وتصفحه بسرعة. اسألهم عمّا يعتقدون أن الدرس سيكون حوله وما يتوقعون أن يتعلموه.

- Ask students if they read magazines and, if so, what type of magazines. Ask if they read them online or use physical copies.

Differentiation (التفريد في التعليم)
Support (الدعم):
- Place students in small groups. Use the Expert strategy (see page 16). Students read the text in groups of four and read to each other, then come together and agree on the answers.

- Using the Summarise and thought-provoking questions technique (see page 16), ask students to reflect on what they have learned.

- Play Parachute (see page 21) as a class with the words from the previous lesson. You can also use words from the previous level.

Team. 2) WOW! is a magazine. 3) WOW! means World of Wonder! (Fact) A fab idea: We are going to have WOW! Magazine in the style of the WOW! Team class.
ضع الطلاب في مجموعات صغيرة. استخدم تقنية “ثلاث حقائق وفكرة رائعة” (انظر الصفحة 15) لصياغة جمل عن هذا الدرس.
مثال:
- هناك أربعة أعضاء في فريق WOW!.
